JOHNSTOWN — Fulton County Center for Regional Growth (CRG) is proud to announce its Fall Gala will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, at the Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will feature live music, a silent auction and awards given in honor of local businesses. CRG works to build social and economic capital through the collaboration with key organizations and entities throughout New York, providing leadership development to local businesses and area non-profits, promote economic and job growth within Fulton County through strategic investment and project partnership and showcasing the economic viability and high quality of life associated with doing business in the county.
This year, CRG will be highlighting five area businesses in a celebration of Fulton County’s ingenuity, success and commitment to the local economy:
- Large Business Award – SLA Transport, Inc./Universal Warehousing, Inc.
- Small to Medium Business Award – Broadalbin Manufacturing Corp.
- Expanded Business Award – Family Counseling Center
- Start-up Business Award – Caroga Arts Collective
- Hidden Gem Award – Northville 5 & 10
“SLA Transport/Universal Warehousing is proud to be the recipient of the Large Business Award given by CRG,” said Fred Olbrych on behalf of the family-owned company. “Our amazing employees have worked hard to attract new businesses to our facility in the Mayfield Commerce Park, Gloversville, and Fulton County. We will continue to partner with CRG, utilizing the many services they provide in order to attract future businesses or our facility, our county and our community.”

CRG will host the Fall Gala on Nov. 16 at the Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville (308 N. Comrie Ave., Johnstown). Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 p.m. The event will feature music by UpSwing Duo, a performance by Ramano Acro Dance Academy and a silent auction. All proceeds from the event help to provide programming and support to area businesses throughout the year.
